This morning, 4 Feb. we got up nice and early to be ready on time for the taxi, which was ordered since Tuesday morning and re-confirmed last night 3 Feb at 22.00 hrs, to come to pick me and Higgins up to
take us to the station to get the 7am train direction Eindhoven; It was ordered for 6.30 but never turned up, so we took the bus into town and got the 8am train instead.
All was going well until we got past Dordrecht and then we found out that we would have to get off the train in Tilburg and take the local train to Eindhoven. As I had already connected the organiser of
the show, Mr. Jan Coppens, and he had agreed to give me an hours lee way I could not take a chance that I might not get there on time so I took a taxi, which I shared with 2 other women, to Eindhoven and arrived there at 11am. Higgins was sat between my legs
curled up fairly small.
I showed Higgins, he received a 1 Very Good from th judge Mrs L.K. Erhart and at 1.30 after again receiving permission, we left the expo hall for the station to make our way home again, this journey took
us 4.5 hours and 4 trains but thank god we made it and safe and well back home.
Poor Higgins fell between the platform and the train at the one station as people were crowding to get on to the train and refused to move back a bit so that he could take a clean jump so he landed on the
platform with his front legs but his back legs slid down between platform and train. Luckily for us both a gentleman grabbed him by the collar and helped to pull him up onto the platform again.
I should very much like to thank Mr Jan Coppens and Mr& Mrs Lahaye for their understanding and allowing us the lee way to arrive an hour later than is usually permitted and to leave 1.5 hours prior to the
regular leaving time of 3pm.
